Rakkaew Foundation was founded on March 7, 2007, originally known as Phoomchai Foundation. Its first chairman was Prof.Dr. Chai-Anan Samudavanija (2005–2011). The Foundation began with SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) program in 2004, aiming to cultivate responsible leadership among university students, enabling them to apply their knowledge to create meaningful change for communities.
Changed name into "Rakkaew Foundation"
On August 16, 2011, the foundation was renamed Rakkaew Foundation, with M.R. Disnadda Diskul serving as Chairman (2011–2021). The foundation shifted its focus to student-led initiatives that prioritize community needs. It emphasized people-centered development, collaborative learning, and cross-disciplinary teamwork to empower students in tackling real-world challenges.
Recognized as a Public Charitable Organization
In 2015, the Rakkaew Foundation was officially registered as a public charitable organization under the Thai Ministry of Finance, registered as No. 889 on February 26, 2015.
Present (2024 – Present)
Currently, under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Dr. Chalermchai Boonyaleepun, the foundation has successfully reintegrated Thailand into the Enactus global network—an international non-profit organization that fosters entrepreneurial action for social good.
As the official Enactus Thailand administrator, Rakkaew Foundation provides students with hands-on entrepreneurial training, reinforcing the belief that Thai youth have the potential to drive positive change in their communities, society, and the environment—leveraging business and entrepreneurship as a force for sustainability.

To serve as an integrated platform that connects academic institutions and various sectors, fostering experiential learning for youth to actively contribute to sustainable economic, social, and environmental development.
Mission
Promote, support, create a process for preparing and developing the potential of youth to become new generation leaders who understand social problems, have a sense of social assistance, and can apply knowledge, creativity, and various potentials to develop projects that promote potential, strengthen communities, and create sustainable positive impacts on the economy, society, and the environment, and help reduce inequality in Thai society.
